Named for Captain Nickels, this spacious third-floor suite offers spectacular views of Penobscot Bay from its large private deck. After a day of exploring the Maine coast, relax beside the fire pit with a glass of wine and take in the peaceful waterfront setting.
The Inn’s largest suite features a private entrance, an open dining and living area with an electric fireplace, a king bed, a large soaking tub, and a kitchenette with a mini refrigerator. Guests also enjoy access to the cupola and widow’s walk, where sweeping views of the surrounding area make the climb especially worthwhile.
Please note that Captain Nickels Inn is a historic property and does not have an elevator. Reaching the suite requires climbing several flights of traditional New England stairs, including some that are steep and narrow. The journey is part of the character of the home, but this suite may not be the best choice for guests with mobility concerns or difficulty navigating stairs.
