About The Amos Suite

Named for Captain Nickels’ second son and second child, the Amos Suite is a spacious second-floor retreat with beautiful views of Penobscot Bay. Its extra-large private balcony features comfortable Adirondack seating and a fire pit, creating a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the waterfront setting.

A private entrance opens into a welcoming living room with an electric fireplace, large flat-screen television, comfortable couch, and armchair. The generously sized bedroom features a king bed, a two-person soaking tub, a jetted walk-in tile rain shower, a wet bar and kitchenette area, and lovely bay views.

Please note that Captain Nickels Inn is a historic property and does not have an elevator. The Amos Suite is located on the second floor and requires climbing a flight of traditional New England stairs, which may feel steep to some guests. The climb is part of the charm of the home and well worth it for the suite’s spacious layout, private balcony, and beautiful views, but it may not be suitable for guests with mobility concerns.
