The Katherine is our largest queen guest room, offering a spacious and sun-filled retreat with beautiful views of Penobscot Bay. Named for Captain Nickels’ third daughter and seventh child, the room features rich burgundy walls, elegant Parisian-inspired details, a regal four-poster queen bed, a fireplace, and a comfortable seating area.

The private bathroom is compact and thoughtfully arranged with a walk-in shower, pedestal sink, and corner toilet. Because the bathroom has a pedestal sink rather than a vanity, counter space is limited.

Located on the second floor, The Katherine is an ideal choice for guests who value a generously sized bedroom, historic character, and a lovely bay view.

Please note that Captain Nickels Inn is a historic property without an elevator. This room is located on the second floor and requires climbing traditional New England stairs.
